These two are so sweet together!
We all have so much to be grateful for in this life. You and your loved ones are wished a beautiful day filled with much blessings and many thanks.
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
Where was the mini pumpkin last year?
Taking photos of other photographers can be stressful, there is a lot of pressure! Angie is an absolute sweetheart though and was nothing but wonderful to work with. She is the talent behind Sun Rae Creative and truly pours her heart and soul into her work. She and I spent time communicating back and forth for over two months about plans for their family session. It was easy to hear in Angie’s voice throughout our conversations and pick up through email that she is incredibly kind-hearted and thoughtful. When it was finally time for our session together it was such a pleasure to meet her in person and experience her kindness first hand!
Angie and her crew are a fun-loving family. They care for one another and their horses alike with a deep, never-ending love. All of them thoroughly enjoy riding and just being around their beloved horses, including their young son Hunter. Being at the barn with her human and equine family is Angie’s haven and I was honored to step into their world for an afternoon. Unfortunately, we were only able to shoot for literally half an hour (which translated into roughly fifteen minutes after everybody – horses included – were in position,) before the skies opened up with a downpour. That being said, I am very much looking forward to another session with this wonderful bunch sometime in the Spring when it is not chilly, windy, and raining!
I would have loved to spend time photographing her beautiful horses, however time did not permit for elaborate equine portraiture! (Horses are an important part of my life and have been my favorite animal ever since I can remember. They are magnificent animals.)
Angie told me she loves her family and horses more than life itself. They are her reason for living and an extension of her very being. The barn is her place of solace and a retreat where she can decompress and recharge. She is always greeted by friendly faces and looks forward to her daily dose of equine therapy.
This wonderful family is full of laughter and you can usually find them cracking up at their son Hunter’s antics, Angie says his expressions are almost cartoon-like, can you tell? Abel is a true outdoors-man. He has an ability to make others feel comfortable from first introductions in large part due to his easy going nature. He’s an all around really nice guy, kinda why she fell for him!
The *entire* family.
Poor Hunter had a nasty cold and had just woken up from a nap, he enjoyed snuggling against his Daddy to keep warm.
Angie’s outer beauty is matched by a rare inner beauty. She is so wonderful! Not only is she a talented photographer and devoted Mother, she is a compassionate care-taker for her beloved animals. Anyone who has the pleasure of knowing her could tell you she has a heart of gold!
Art has been a large part of Angie’s life right from the beginning. Her Grandmother played a hugely influential role by encouraging Angie in her artistic pursuits. To this day, Angie credits her Grandmother with providing the support she needed to follow her passion. Angie truly does pour herself into her work.
This is beautiful Angie with her kindred spirit, her inspiration – Sun Rae – the life and name-sake behind her photography business.
Here is Angie talking about her precious equine Sun Rae…. ”I’ve had her for 5 years now. She was my dream horse – as a little girl I dreamt so many dreams about a palomino. When given the opportunity to buy her, I never looked back. I have fallen off her more times than I can count (bloody noses, bruises, etc.) but she taught me how to ride. She taught Abel to ride, she was the first I trusted with Hunter, and she got my mom back in the saddle (still to this day, my mom only trusts Sun Rae.) This horse knows my secrets, has had tears in her mane, given me rides of a lifetime, knew I was pregnant with Hunter before I did, and is one of the greatest friends I have. She is the name behind my photography business and taught me that with some determination and stubbornness, you can make any dream come to life. She has given me a few scares in the past couple months but truthfully, she has entirely too much piss and vinegar to leave me anytime soon! She is one of my soul mates…and is worth her weight in gold. I am so thankful she chose me to be her human.”
